Detroit 2011: GMC Sierra All Terrain Concept is steroid-riddled awesome

We have to admit, we felt a pang of sympathy for the mighty GMC Sierra All Terrain Concept. While TheDodge Ramrunner and Ford F-150 SVT Raptor both held prominent spots in their respective booths at the2011 Detroit Auto Show, the Sierra All-Terrain Concept was tucked away in a corner all by its lonesome. It seems hardly a fair fate for a truck that boasts ground-stomping Fox Racing external bypass shocks, aggressive fender flares and a monstrous lift.

Buick Encore brings small to the big stage of Detroit

2013 Buick Encore

Buick used the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show to unveil the 2013 Encore; a mite-sized crossover that will be smaller than other vehicles in its class. In fact, the Encore is only 168 inches long, and its wheelbase is only 104.8 inches across. Even with those diminutive proportions, the Encore still manages to house 48 cubic feet of cargo with the second-row seats folded flat. The front passenger seat also folds for additional storage.

First look at the 2013 Dodge Dart.

Engines for the 2013 Dart include a base 2.0-liter four-cylinder, mid-level 1.4-liter turbo four with MultiAir technology, and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine for top of the line trim. Six-speed manual, auto or dual-clutch transmission will be available and a nine-speed will be available at a later date.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel Coming for 2013

Larry Vellequette of Automotive News wrote that there would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel option in North America for 2013. The option has been absent since 2008.

U.S. Grand Cherokee sales rose 51% in 2011, hitting 127,744, and over 50,000 of the similar Dodge Durangos were sold in the same year. Demand for the Grand Cherokee and Durango has remained strong, and theGrand Cherokee SRT8, though condemned by some enthusiasts for its price, appears to be selling briskly at many dealerships.
